Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join the SoC Front-End Design (SOFD) organization. This role focuses on the architectural definition, RTL design, and integration of complex subsystems and SoCs used across Arm’s next-generation products.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on design expertise with technical leadership, influencing both project execution and design methodology.
Experience Level
Senior level with a minimum of 5 years of experience in design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs.
Responsibilities
As a creative design engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Writing micro-architecture specifications and developing RTL.
- Fixing bugs and running various design checks.
- Coordinating with the Architecture team to gather requirements and develop Micro-architecture specifications.
- Collaborating with the verification team to review test plans and help debug design issues.
- Working closely with the Power and Performance analysis team to evaluate and improve PPA.
- Contributing to developing and enhancing the design methodologies used by the team.
- Guiding and supporting other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Working with Project Management on activities, plans, and schedules.
Requirements
The following skills and experiences are required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs.
- Expertise in creating Micro-architecture and Design specifications.
- Good understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
- Thorough knowledge of design techniques for complex SoC development.
- Leading and developing RTL experience.
- Familiarity with static design checks including CDC, RDC, X-Propagation, linting, power management techniques, DFT, and physical implementation.
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, presentations).
- Experience with Perl, Python, or other scripting languages.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
