Senior Staff CAD Engineer (P&R)

Role Summary

The Senior Staff CAD Engineer (P&R) will focus on developing and maintaining advanced Physical and Routing (P&R) flows tailored to the various needs of Marvell's Business Units. This role involves significant collaboration within the team to optimize integration within the overall CAD platform and effectively address increasing design challenges.

Experience Level

This position requires an experienced engineer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in physical design and flow development, particularly in the context of advanced nodes down to 7nm.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain leading-edge P&R flows.
• Support and deploy these flows across different business units.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal integration into the CAD platform.
• Innovate solutions for design challenges.
• Engage with EDA vendors to optimize tool usage.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Key qualifications include:

• 8+ years of experience with a strong background in physical design and flow development.
• Proficiency with Cadence Innovus tool and knowledge of current industry challenges such as FinFET and Dual Patterning.
• Solid understanding at both block and SoC levels of timing closure, floorplanning, power grid design, and various clock synthesis methods.
• Familiarity with SI, EM/IR analysis, complex DRC rules.
• Competency in Tcl scripting for flow development.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Education Requirements

B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
