Senior Staff CAD Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Staff CAD Engineer position at Marvell Technology involves leading the development of advanced automated design flows and associated tools. Experience Level

This role requires individuals with robust backgrounds in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, specifically with 5-10 years of professional experience, or candidates holding an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) with 3-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cutting-edge physical design and routing flows catering to various business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of design tools within the overall CAD platform.
• Innovate solutions for rising design challenges and keep abreast of EDA processes and tool advancements.
• Interface with EDA vendors to optimize tool performance and utility.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of CAD designs and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess more than 5 years of hands-on experience with physical design in advanced technology nodes (5nm or below), alongside a solid understanding of various design problems including timing closure, floorplanning, power grid design, and multiple power domain implementations.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. A Master’s degree or PhD, along with experience equivalent to formal education, will also be considered.

Compensation Overview

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $127,630 to $191,200 per annum, varying based on qualifications, location, and market factors. Additional compensation in the form of employee benefits is also provided, focusing on financial well-being, family support, and mental and physical health.
