Senior Staff Applications Engineer - PrimeTime

Role Summary

This position involves providing advanced technical support and training for customers using PrimeTime, PrimeClosure, and PrimeShield tools. The focus is on maximizing customer productivity and ensuring the successful application of sophisticated semiconductor workflows.

Experience Level

Senior level, requiring extensive expertise in high-speed digital design, static timing analysis, and VLSI design, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Offer expert support and training on Primetime tools to optimize customer usage.
• Oversee customer design processes through tape-out and verify compliance with specifications.
• Utilize advanced knowledge in VLSI and power analysis to tackle complex challenges.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and liaise with Sales and Product Development teams.
• Demonstrate solutions to enhance software usage and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales teams to grow market presence and strengthen customer relationships.
• Provide developmental feedback to improve software tools.

Requirements

Demonstrated skills in timing, power analysis, and signal integrity in SoC design, coupled with strong knowledge of static timing tools. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, or Python is essential.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 12 years of experience or a Master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
