Role Summary
Join the Silicon Product Enablement team at Lattice Semiconductor as a Senior Staff Applications Engineer, focusing on supporting application designs and use cases for our industry-leading devices. This role involves bridging the customer-factory relationship, overcoming technical hurdles, and delivering reliable solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and expedite their time-to-market.
Experience Level
15+ years of experience in engineering, specifically focused on FPGA architecture and design.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive silicon feature enablement & improvement for specific domains (e.g., IO, Memory, Serdes).
- Develop silicon enablement collaterals focusing on usability and performance.
- Conduct trainings and workshops for sales & tech support teams.
- Provide factory support to resolve customer issues.
- Collaborate closely with sales to understand customer needs and solidify requirements for R&D.
Requirements
- Experience with FPGA architecture, including foundational blocks such as PLL, Embedded Memory, and DSP blocks.
- Familiarity with various physical interface standards (SSTL, HSTL, LVSTL, HSUL).
- Experience with timing closure, PLL/DLLs, physical interface strategies, and signal integrity.
- Hands-on FPGA development experience, including RTL development and verification.
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA and firmware debugging using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
- Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL, and experience in delivering revenue-generating hardware products.
- Must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education Requirements
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering required.
