Role Summary

Lead technical customer engagements to enable adoption and effective use of Synopsys products within the Applications Engineering team. Provide deep product expertise, troubleshoot customer issues, and collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to drive product improvements.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Serve as technical lead for customer engagements, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, reproduce customer problems, and deliver workarounds or fixes.
• Collaborate with R&D and product management to escalate defects and influence the product roadmap.
• Develop documentation, support materials, and sample scripts or flows for customers.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Occasional travel to customer sites as required.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills (concise):

• Proven experience in applications engineering, technical customer support, or the EDA/semiconductor domain.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with scripting (Python, Perl, or shell) and familiarity with design/verification flows or software development in C/C++.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for customer-facing interactions.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Synopsys tools or comparable EDA products.
• Prior mentoring or leadership experience.
