Senior Software Engineer (VIP)

Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will be based in Austin, TX and will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model. The role is focused on developing comprehensive verification IPs for advanced interfaces used in electronic products including PCIe, USB, and Ethernet technologies.

Position Summary

This role requires a collaborative approach as you will engage with PE and AE teams as well as directly with customers to deploy solutions and resolve issues. The candidate will need to leverage their expertise to optimize the development process and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Career Level Required

A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in RTL design, IP/VIP development, or emulation is required for this position, reflecting a senior career level.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop verification IPs for leading-edge technologies and protocols.
• Collaborate with team members on user stories and environment setup for software solutions.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist with issue resolution.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and discussions with global colleagues.

Required Skills and Experience

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Over 15 years of experience in RTL design and verification.
• Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Familiarity with Assertions, Coverage, Test Plans, and BFM design.
• Understanding of register layering and experience with C/SystemC testing.
• Knowledge of bus protocols such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, etc.
• Experience with NOC (Network on Chip) designs is a plus.
• Comprehension of system-level performance metrics like latency and bandwidth.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or a related technical discipline is required.
