Senior Software Engineer - NIC and Switch Simulation

Role Summary

Join the Simulation development team to design and implement next-generation NIC and switch simulation software. The team builds advanced networking simulation solutions and works closely with SW R&D, architects, chip design and firmware teams.

Experience Level

Senior — 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain simulation features and virtualization-based solutions for high-performance networking products.

• Design and implement advanced switch simulation features.
• Develop virtualization solutions leveraging technologies such as KVM/QEMU.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code in C/C++.
• Debug, analyze, and improve simulation accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with SW R&D, architects, chip design and firmware teams; take end-to-end ownership of features.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in C and C++ development.
• Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Track record of taking full ownership and delivering end-to-end solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally.

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of networking protocols (Ethernet, InfiniBand).
• Experience with virtualization (KVM/QEMU).
• Linux or Windows kernel and driver development experience.
• Quick adaptability to new technologies and ability to dive deep into new areas.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering (the posting states "B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science / Software Engineering").
