Role Summary

The position of Senior Software Engineer focuses on developing and enhancing Cadence's circuit simulation suite, Spectre FX. Key responsibilities include working on various R&D projects that target event-driven algorithms, circuit partitioning, graph traversal, and improving performance through optimization techniques.

Experience Level

We are seeking candidates with substantial experience in software engineering, particularly with C/C++ in a Unix environment. A background in electrical engineering or computer science is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve algorithms related to circuit simulation technologies.
  • Engage in memory and CPU optimizations to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative technologies to production.

Requirements

Proficiency in C/C++ is mandatory, along with a solid understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior. Familiarity with EDA algorithms or analog circuit design is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate effective learning abilities and experience in a production environment.

Education Requirements
