Role Summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Calibre product software development team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting software for integrated circuit (IC) verification, contributing to the success of semiconductor technology.

Experience Level

Senior level, with 10-15 years of experience in software development.

Responsibilities

The role involves:

• Designing and developing high-capacity, high-performance software.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, quality assurance, and customer support.
• Participating in task scheduling and estimation.
• Calling out best practices for software development.
• Owning technical challenges related to computational geometry and multi-threading.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Strong analysis, design, and problem-solving skills.
• 10-15 years of experience in software development in C and C++ on Linux.
• Knowledge of high-performance data structures and algorithms.

Nice-to-have skills include:

• VLSI design principles.
• Experience with multi-threaded and distributed computing.
• Knowledge of graph theory and computational geometry.

Education Requirements

A degree (BS/MS/Ph.D.) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
