Senior SoC Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Solution Engineering division develops SoCs for various application segments. The Senior SoC Design Engineer will contribute to the specification, design, and verification of these systems. This position involves collaboration with a dedicated team in Toronto and multiple internal groups across the organization.

Experience Level

3+ years in design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs, with a degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop logic for high-performance compute and AI solutions.
• Craft design micro-architecture specifications and develop RTL.
• Collaborate with the verification team and performance analysis teams.
• Contribute to design methodology enhancements.
• Mentor junior team members and support project management activities.

Requirements

• Experience in digital hardware design for complex systems using Verilog HDL.
• Knowledge of power and clock domain crossing, and static design checks.
• Familiarity with all design stages from concept to support.
• Experience in synthesis, timing constraints, and power management techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
