Position Summary

A Senior Silicon Design Engineer at AMD is responsible for driving the functional verification and performance verification processes. The candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing AMD's ability to launch high-quality products, reinforcing the company's commitment to technical excellence.

Experience Level

This position is aimed at candidates with a strong background in digital design and verification, particularly those with hands-on experience in complex processor architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tests for both functional and performance verification at core levels.
• Design and construct testbench components for next-generation intellectual property.
• Enhance existing test libraries to facilitate IP-level testing.
• Create hardware emulation setups to assess the functional performance of the IP.
• Improve runtime performance and debugging capabilities of the current hardware emulation environment.
• Offer technical support across teams during project implementation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess a strong grasp of programming languages like C/C++ and be familiar with SystemVerilog and verification libraries such as UVM. A background in computing or graphics, along with experience in OpenGL, OpenCL, or D3D programming, will be considered advantageous.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required for this role.
