Role Summary

The Senior SerDes Platform System Architect provides system-level technical leadership for SerDes and high-speed PHY platforms, aligning architecture intent with execution and signoff readiness. The role works across multiple engineering teams to identify risks, guide technical tradeoffs, and improve predictability of platform development.

The team focuses on advanced SerDes technology (up to 64Gbps, NRZ and PAM4), SerDes modelling, and platform-level signoff practices.

Responsibilities

Accountable for system-level architecture, execution alignment, and signoff readiness across assigned SerDes platforms.

• Provide system-level technical leadership and direction for SerDes/PHY platforms.
• Translate architecture goals into executable plans and signoff criteria.
• Lead technical discussions on tradeoffs, assumptions, constraints, and risks.
• Contribute system- and signoff-informed input to architecture reviews and platform decisions.
• Improve cross-functional alignment, technical ownership, and execution predictability.

• Strong experience in SerDes, PHY development, or closely related high-speed communication domains (required).

• Ability to assess tradeoffs, identify risks, and guide clear technical decisions (required).
• Excellent analytical and technical communication skills (required).
• Programming or analysis experience in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools (advantage).
• Experience in PHY analog design or strong technical exposure to analog-driven PHY development (highly valued).

Education Requirements

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field (explicitly stated).
