Role Summary

The Senior RF Test Development Engineer will join the High Performance Analog team, focusing on automated RF test solutions for multi-channel beamformer ICs. The role involves architecting and debugging the complete test stack, including RF hardware and automation software, to enhance yield and product performance.

Experience Level

Professional (5+ years of hands-on experience in RF test development or an equivalent advanced degree and experience).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing automated RF test solutions for multi-channel beamformer ICs.
  • Designing and validating test hardware including load boards and fixtures.
  • Creating test automation software for VNAs and other instruments.
  • Characterizing device performance metrics.
  • Integrating digital control interfaces for measurements.
  • Developing comprehensive test plans and documentation.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure test coverage.
  • Analyzing data to troubleshoot and drive corrective actions.
  • Supporting test station setup and participating in cross-functional teams.
  • Generating test documentation and reports.
  • Limited travel (<10%) may be required.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in RF test development and measurements.
  • Strong experience with VNAs and RF measurement fundamentals.
  • Ability to design or troubleshoot RF test hardware.
  • Familiarity with C-based programming, preferably C#.
  • Experience with instrument control via various interfaces.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.

Desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • Experience with beamforming ICs and phased array technologies.
  • Understanding of mmWave measurements and OTA test setups.
  • Knowledge of production test transfer processes.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field is required.
