Job Title
Senior RF/Analog IC Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Role Summary
Design and develop RF, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits for 4G/5G mobile handset applications. Work across the full design cycle from specification through silicon validation and product-level performance optimization.
Experience Level
Senior / Professional level. The posting indicates ~3+ years of related RF/analog IC design experience as a baseline.
Responsibilities
Primary engineering duties and expectations:
- Design LNAs, drivers, RF switches and other RF IC blocks in CMOS and SOI.
- Design analog/mixed-signal support circuits: bandgaps, charge pumps, LDOs, level shifters, op amps, bias/control circuits.
- Perform large-signal analysis, EM-aware layout, and EM simulation; correlate simulation with measurements.
- Contribute to device characterization, measurement troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Translate product/system requirements into design specifications and implementation plans.
- Present design reviews covering expected performance, simulation and silicon results, risks, and mitigations.
- Provide regular project status updates and execute effectively in a fast-paced development environment.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience. Preferred items are listed separately.
- 3+ years of relevant RF/analog IC design or equivalent advanced experience.
- Proven silicon tape-out experience and ownership from concept through validation.
- Experience with Cadence, ADS, HFSS or similar design and simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of RF design techniques, layout effects, and EM-aware design tradeoffs for integrated RF circuits.
- Hands-on measurement and characterization experience; ability to correlate lab data with simulations.
- Good understanding of device physics relevant to analog circuitry and practical tradeoffs.
- Effective verbal and written communication; able to work independently and in teams.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required; PhD in Electrical Engineering (Analog/RF IC design) preferred. The posting accepts "or an equivalent amount of advanced education and experience."
