Senior Product Quality Engineer

Role Summary

Work on Micron's SSD Qualification Engineering team to validate SSD product performance and reliability. The role performs hands-on qualification testing, debugging, and data analysis, and partners with global engineering teams to improve qualification processes and product requirements.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 6+ years of relevant experience in product qualification, validation, or related engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Execute and improve SSD qualification activities and collaborate across teams.

• Plan and execute qualification tests; analyze results against product specifications.
• Perform debugging and data analysis using lab tools such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
• Develop and enhance test automation and debug tools (Python, C, or similar).
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to refine requirements and validation strategies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase qualification efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

• 6+ years of relevant experience in qualification, validation, or related engineering work.
• Proficiency in Python, C, or similar languages for test automation and debugging.
• Experience with embedded systems and hands-on electrical/system debugging using lab instruments.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability to execute qualification plans and analyze test data effectively.
• Nice-to-have: system-level validation, statistical data analysis, and experience developing qualification plans for high-performance hardware.
• Nice-to-have: knowledge of SSD architectures, industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP), and demonstrated process-improvement experience in QA or manufacturing.

Education Requirements
