Senior Product Engineer

Role Summary

Work in the Device and Product Group supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) for GaN power semiconductor devices and related engineering projects. Own new products from concept through qualification and production release, coordinating across R&D, design, epitaxy, fabrication, packaging, test and reliability teams.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5+ years of relevant semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, or power-electronics experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate NPI activities and related engineering work across functions.

• Lead the NPI process from tape-out to production release for power device products.
• Coordinate product definition, design, fabrication, testing and qualification activities across departments.
• Develop NPI plans with marketing, sales, engineering and manufacturing; negotiate schedules and align resources with customer needs.
• Track and communicate status, key results, risks and issues to stakeholders; schedule and run design review activities.
• Monitor and analyze testing and qualification results and prepare engineering reports.
• Develop screening methods during NPI and drive root-cause investigations for performance and qualification issues.
• Own and support other engineering projects as assigned.

Requirements

Key skills, tools and experience required or preferred.

• Must-have: 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with APQP design review processes, FMEA, NPI and SPC.
• Understanding of process and product development, wafer-level processing, assembly and test methods.
• Proficiency with MS Office, engineering databases, automation and statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP).
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, initiative and ability to work in teams.
• Nice-to-have: experience with discrete device testing, semiconductor packaging, and power electronics.

Education Requirements

BS in an engineering or science discipline and/or MS in engineering or science. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
