Senior Product Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Product Engineer will lead qualification and industrialization activities for NFC products in the Secure Connected Edge product line at the Caen site. The role works with IC architects, design, validation, test/product and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications and quality targets.

Experience Level

Senior — requires several years of relevant experience; the posting requests approximately 5+ years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on qualification, reliability and volume-readiness of new NFC products.

• Define and execute product qualification flows and industrialization plans.
• Develop reliability tools and test programs (HTOL, ESD/LU, BHAST) and debug test failures.
• Assess product capability and robustness across manufacturing variations and volumes.
• Analyze high-volume statistical results from ATE and lab benches to drive iterative product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and meet quality targets.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• Experience with semiconductor NPI (new product introduction) bring-up and IC qualification.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, semiconductor physics, and statistical analysis methods.
• Experience with reliability test execution and debug (HTOL, ESD/LU, BHAST).
• Familiarity with ATE platforms such as Advantest and Teradyne.
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. PDF Exensio Yield, Optimal+, JMP).
• Programming experience; Python preferred (R, C++ are a plus).
• Technical leadership in cross-functional teams, strong communication and influencing skills.
• Data-driven decision making, self-driven with ownership and initiative.
• Willingness to travel to NXP locations worldwide and a good level of English.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Non-Volatile / Flash memory technologies.

Education Requirements

Degree: BAC +5 (equivalent to a Master's degree) in Data Science or Electronics (electronic cursus) is requested. The posting also specifies ~5 years of experience in a similar position; equivalent practical experience may be accepted.
