Senior Product Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Product Engineer sustains mature power IC products in high-volume production to ensure long-term quality, reliability, and manufacturability. The role focuses on sustaining engineering activities: resolving production and customer issues, improving cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) and yield, and supporting cross-functional teams including design, test, manufacturing, and quality.
Experience Level
Mid-level — minimum 3 years of experience in Product Engineering or sustaining engineering in semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are sustaining product performance in mass production and driving manufacturing/test improvements.
- Manage product lifecycle and ensure continuity after mass production across internal fabs and subcontractors.
- Drive COGS reduction and process optimization (yield, volume, test time, failure reduction).
- Monitor and resolve manufacturing and test issues with fab, assembly, and test sites.
- Manage disposition of abnormal or low-yield production lots and production issues.
- Support Process Change Review Board (PCRB) activities: product qualifications, material changes, and process migrations.
- Analyze product performance, failure modes, and reliability; support customer returns, RMAs, and failure analysis.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, QA, Reliability, Factory, and OSAT partners.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and working requirements; preferred items listed separately.
- Practical experience in sustaining/product engineering within semiconductor (IC) manufacturing and test environments.
- Proficient data manipulation and analysis skills.
- Strong product-management mindset with focus on cost, ROI, and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with integrated circuit semiconductor processes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English; self-motivated and able to manage time effectively.
- Onsite presence required; role follows a hybrid model with designated in-office days (Tuesday–Thursday).
Nice-to-have
- Experience with JMP; familiarity with PDF Exenso is a plus.
- Product test knowledge and experience with NPI (new product introduction) engineering.
- Knowledge of IC modules such as drivers and power stages.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field is specified.
