Senior Principal DV Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Principal DV Engineer will lead the verification strategy and execution for complex SoCs, utilizing over 20 years of expertise in ARM-based microcontrollers and low-power design verification. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Level

Senior level, with 15 to 20 years of experience in SoC/IP verification.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute SoC-level and IP-level verification strategy, methodology, and coverage goals.
  • Develop, debug, and run UVM-based verification environments for RTL/netlist simulation.
  • Create test cases, run simulations, debug test cases, and collect and analyze code/functional coverage.
  • Drive DV closure on diverse IPs and subsystems, ensuring maximum coverage and quality.
  • Mentor team members and collaborate with design teams for issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with functional safety and security requirements.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in ARM-based microcontrollers, SystemVerilog, UVM, and experience with low-power verification.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools like Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, and Mentor Questa.
  • Knowledge of various interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, CAN, and eSPI.
  • Strong understanding of assertions (SVA) and functional coverage.

Soft skills needed:

  • Effective communication skills and teamwork.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microelectronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
