Senior/Principal Device Engineer — GaN Power Devices

Role Summary

Lead development of GaN power-device architectures, simulations and designs to deliver high-performance, manufacturable power discretes. Work within a global GaN team and coordinate with process, characterization, reliability and product engineering to move devices into industrial production.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Specific years of experience are not stated; the role expects proven experience in GaN or wide bandgap device development and technical leadership of complex projects.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Define and optimize device architectures for GaN technologies.
• Set and own performance, reliability and manufacturability targets; manage trade-offs.
• Lead TCAD simulation, modeling and device design efforts.
• Collaborate with process, characterization, reliability and product teams.
• Deliver robust, scalable device concepts to support industrialization.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• Proven experience in GaN or wide bandgap device development.
• Strong expertise in device physics, TCAD simulation and semiconductor design tools.
• Track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary technical projects to delivery.
• Analytical, self-driven and able to collaborate in an international environment.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with product industrialization and manufacturability metrics.

Education Requirements

MSc or PhD (or equivalent practical experience) in semiconductor physics, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
