Job Title

Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify high-speed mixed-signal and analog integrated circuits for NVLINK and other high-bandwidth interfaces. Work on transistor-level architecture, schematic design, layout guidance, verification, and silicon characterization for data rates at 25 Gbps and above.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires substantial industry experience; the posting specifies 6+ years of analog design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and characterization of high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits and support for post-silicon bring-up.

  • Define circuit requirements and execute full design flow: schematic, layout coordination, verification, and characterization.
  • Develop high-speed electrical/optical interfaces and analog circuits targeting 25 Gbps+ data rates.
  • Perform schematic design in deep-submicron CMOS technologies using tools such as Spectre or HSpice.
  • Lead transistor-level architecture, circuit design, and verification using Cadence Virtuoso and related EDA tools.
  • Optimize circuits for system-level performance, noise, loop stability, and variability (Monte Carlo).
  • Collaborate with layout engineers on floorplanning, matching, and high-speed routing constraints.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and silicon characterization.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 6+ years analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience.
  • CMOS analog/mixed-signal design experience in deep-submicron processes, especially FinFET.
  • Proficiency with Cadence IC design environment and analog simulators (Spectre, HSpice, Finesim, XA).
  • Experience creating testbench environments for component and top-level circuit verification.
  • Behavioral modeling of analog and digital circuits and strong analog simulation skills (AC/DC/TRAN, noise, loop stability, Monte Carlo).
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills for pre- and post-silicon validation.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior experience with high-speed serial interfaces or optical electrical link design.

Education Requirements

Master of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
