This role requires extensive experience at a senior level, focusing on RTL design and integration within complex system-on-chip (SoC) environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee RTL design and integration for memory subsystem IP and top-level logic.
  • Define micro-architecture and convert system needs into solid RTL implementations.
  • Integrate IP blocks to deliver comprehensive DDR/LPDDR memory subsystems across various product lines.
  • Collaborate with verification teams on testing strategies and debugging.
  • Work with physical design teams to address timing, floorplanning, and clocking strategies.
  • Resolve functional, timing, and integration issues across subsystem boundaries.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, interface definitions, and timing diagrams.
  • Assist with pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up along with firmware and BIOS teams.
  • Guide and mentor other engineers on best practices and design quality.

Requirements

  • Expert in Verilog and SystemVerilog for RTL design.
  • Extensive background in designing and integrating IP and subsystems in SoC environments.
  • Strong grasp of memory subsystem architecture and associated micro-architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of synchronization techniques, clocking, resets, and CDC.
  • Proven experience debugging complex RTL using simulation and emulation tools.
  • Experience in leading technical initiatives and collaborating across teams.
  • Proficient in using version control systems like Git and/or Perforce.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
