Senior Lead Firmware Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and own firmware for AI silicon, driving feature design, implementation, verification, and documentation. Work with cross-functional teams and customers to define requirements and deliver robust low-level firmware.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on firmware architecture, implementation, and cross-team coordination.

Experience Level

Senior — 10+ years of professional experience in firmware development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design and develop firmware for AI silicon, including low-level system code.
• Collaborate with local and global teams across hardware, software, and product groups.
• Define feature requirements with customers and internal teams; gather feedback to refine product behavior.
• Document implementation strategies and ensure clear understanding of requirements.
• Review and test features, perform impact analysis, and mitigate potential issues before release.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must have: 10+ years' experience programming in C/C++11 with strong firmware and low-level hardware fundamentals.
• Must have: Proven experience in firmware feature definition, design documentation, review, and testing.
• Must have: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Nice to have: Working experience with PCIe and USB kernel drivers.

Education Requirements

B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science (CS) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
