Role Overview
The Solution Engineering division is seeking an experienced design engineer to join a diverse team focused on developing products for the Enterprise, Auto, and Client markets. This role involves working on complex hardware that is integral to modern computing and connectivity.
Experience Requirement
This position typically requires candidates to have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, complemented by hands-on experience in the design of intricate subsystems or SoCs.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing IP features for reconfigurable Fuse and JTAG Subsystems.
- Creating RTL designs, conducting bug fixes, and performing design checks.
- Ensuring designs meet quality, reliability, and manufacturing standards across various SoCs.
- Collaborating with the verification team to review test plans and troubleshoot design issues.
- Actively engaging in the design process to ensure optimal solutions are implemented.
Required Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Digital hardware design using System Verilog.
- Design and implementation of reconfigurable IP or subsystems.
- Conducting static design checks including linting, CDC/RDC, and X-propagation.
- Effective collaboration in a team setting.
Optional Skills
Other skills that would be beneficial include:
- Familiarity with ARM-based designs and ARM System Architectures.
- Experience with OTP/Fuse usage models and JTAG/TAP protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
- Knowledge of analog hard IP integration, timing diagrams, and BMODs.
- Understanding of power and clock domain crossings.
- Experience with DFT methodologies including RTL testability and scan insertion.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory for this role.
