Role Summary
As a Senior Hardware Development Engineer in our Bespoke Solutions division, you will be responsible for leading the architectural development of advanced cloud infrastructure hardware. Your role will involve designing intricate PCBAs utilizing state-of-the-art FPGA SoCs and innovating effectively within a collaborative environment.
Experience Level
This position requires a seasoned professional with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in hardware engineering, showcasing proficiency in PCB design and integration with FPGA technologies.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex PCB designs that integrate FPGA SoCs.
- Drive hardware architecture decisions and set technical requirements for system performance.
- Oversee new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers.
- Develop high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuit designs and validate them.
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC as well as thermal and signal integrity regulations.
- Collaborate with FPGA and firmware teams to establish hardware interfaces and requirements.
- Facilitate design reviews and achieve technical alignment across various teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in hardware engineering.
Requirements
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience.
- Expertise in DFx methodologies (Design for cost, test, manufacturing).
- Experience with PCB design, including schematic capture and circuit board layout.
- Proficiency in FPGA SoC hardware integration and validation.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., PCIe, DDR, SERDES).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential for this role.
