Responsibilities
The Senior GPU Memory Architect will be responsible for:
- Developing architecture and micro-architecture to enhance GPU memory systems.
- Participating in performance simulation to improve memory access efficiency.
- Implementing and maintaining high-level functional and performance models.
- Analyzing benchmarks and application workloads for optimization opportunities.
- Conducting experiments and presenting results to propose improvements.
- Creating architectural specifications and customer-facing documents.
- Debugging performance and functional issues in models and silicon.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in GPU/CPU architecture with a focus on memory caching and interconnects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience with hardware memory management units, prefetching, or memory subsystems (nice-to-have).
- Practical experience with multi-core systems and memory coherency (nice-to-have).
Education Requirements
A Master's degree in a relevant field is required; a PhD is a plus.
