Role Summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior GPU Memory Architect to join its GPU memory architecture team, focusing on optimizing performance, power efficiency, and complexity on cutting-edge silicon processes.

Experience Level

Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years of relevant experience in GPU or CPU architecture, particularly in memory management and interconnects. A PhD with a focus on computer architecture is advantageous.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing advanced architecture and micro-architecture for GPU memory systems, improving performance and efficiency.
  • Participating in performance simulations to enhance memory access efficiency.
  • Implementing and maintaining high-level functional and performance models.
  • Analyzing benchmarks and performance simulation results to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Conducting experiments and presenting findings for potential improvements.
  • Creating architectural specifications and documents for customers.
  • Collaborating with industry partners to develop specifications considering software interfaces to the GPU.
  • Debugging performance and functional issues across high-level models and RTL simulations.

Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a dynamic, product-oriented team environment. Experience mentoring junior engineers and interns is a significant plus.

Education Requirements

A Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required. A PhD focusing on computer architecture is preferred.
