Role Overview

This position involves working as a Senior FPGA Development Engineer in the Antenna Calibration team under Amazon Leo. You will be tasked with the design, implementation, and testing of systems that integrate FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functionalities. Your focus will be on enhancing antenna systems through collaboration with various engineering teams.

Experience Level

Applicants should have a senior level of expertise with at least 5 years of relevant experience in FPGA design and implementation, programming, and leading engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities in this role include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of complex embedded systems.
  • Designing software for high-volume phased array manufacturing.
  • Developing calibration software for on-orbit applications.
  • Characterizing antenna-related subsystems and systems.
  • Implementing firmware designs and application development.
  • Automating hardware testing.
  • Creating tools and scripts to assist in bringing up phased array systems.

Qualifications

All candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development and FPGA design.
  • Extensive experience with programming languages and leading design efforts.
  • Proficiency in System Verilog and working with Xilinx/AMD or Altera FPGAs.
  • Familiarity with digital logic functions and validation processes.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, while a Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
