Senior Engineer, RTL Memory Centric Computing

Role Summary

The Senior Engineer, RTL Memory Centric Computing will work in the AGI Computing Lab at Samsung Semiconductor. This role involves designing, prototyping, and optimizing next-generation AI systems through hardware-software co-design. The team focuses on memory computing systems to address the demands of AI/ML workloads.

Experience Level

Senior level, requiring 3-5 years of relevant industry experience depending on educational background.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing IP for memory centric computing systems using Verilog, System Verilog, and HLS.
  • Optimizing IP for performance, power, and area.
  • Collaborating with verification engineers to design test plans.
  • Making design decisions considering performance, power, thermal, and cost trade-offs.
  • Troubleshooting hardware issues and ensuring design quality through validation.
  • Staying updated with advancements in machine learning and hardware architecture.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of systems.
  • Completing additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Basic qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s with 5+ years, Master’s with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in microarchitecture and computer architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end design methodology, including RTL development.
  • Experience with Memory Controller, NOC, Interconnect IP.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML workloads.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred but not mandatory.
