Senior Engineer (RTL Design)

Role Summary

Join the silicon development team to architect, design and implement high-performance digital logic for SoC and IP-level designs. You will take ownership of RTL blocks from micro-architecture through integration and tape-out, working closely with architecture, verification, physical design, and firmware teams to deliver production-quality hardware.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 2–4 years of experience in SoC or IP design.

Responsibilities

The role requires ownership of RTL blocks and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve timing, power, and area goals.

• Develop micro-architecture specifications from system-level requirements.
• Implement synthesizable RTL using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
• Own block design from concept through integration and tape-out.
• Optimize designs for power, performance, and area (PPA) via architectural changes and synthesis iteration.
• Integrate IP blocks into subsystems and SoCs; collaborate with backend teams for timing closure and physical feasibility.
• Drive design reviews, documentation, and lifecycle quality processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements in day-to-day activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience to perform the role; preferred skills follow.

• 2–4 years practical experience in SoC or IP design, including experience taking designs to tape-out.
• Expertise in Verilog and/or the synthesizable subset of SystemVerilog.
• Strong understanding of fundamental digital design concepts and AMBA protocols.
• Excellent debugging skills and fluency in English (written and verbal).

• Experience with CPU, DSP, networking, or security IP blocks.
• Experience automating workflows and scripting (Python or similar).
• Project management, planning, and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
