Job Title

Senior Engineer, Digital Verification

Role Summary

As a Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) Design Verification Engineer, you will own verification planning and execution for complex mixed-signal IP, subsystems, and SoCs from pre-silicon through silicon bring-up.

You will translate specifications into scalable verification architectures, develop reusable SystemVerilog/UVM and behavioral models, and partner with analog, digital, modeling, firmware, and validation teams to identify and mitigate verification risk.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 4–8 years of relevant IC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification strategy, environment development, execution, and cross-domain debug.

  • Define feature-based verification plans, requirements traceability, risk assessment, test strategy, and sign-off criteria.
  • Architect reusable verification environments combining SystemVerilog/UVM, analog behavioral models, and real-number modeling.
  • Develop and validate behavioral models (SystemVerilog real-number, Verilog-AMS/Verilog-A) to accelerate full-chip verification.
  • Create constrained-random and directed tests, scoreboards, reference models, assertions, monitors, and functional coverage for analog-digital interactions.
  • Lead debug and root-cause analysis across simulation outputs, waveforms, logs, schematics, and measurements.
  • Build and maintain regression flows, dashboards, and automation to improve simulation throughput and reproducibility.
  • Collaborate with designers, architects, firmware, model developers, and post-silicon teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, and influence methodology, tools, and reuse decisions.
  • Support silicon bring-up and post-silicon correlation; travel up to 10% as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for day-to-day success.

  • Advanced SystemVerilog and UVM: reusable agents, sequences, scoreboards, reference models, assertions, and coverage components.
  • Strong analog/mixed-signal fundamentals: sampling, quantization, noise, offset, gain, settling, linearity, clocking, feedback, calibration, and PVT effects.
  • Hands-on AMS modeling: SystemVerilog real/wreal, Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A, or equivalent behavioral modeling.
  • Experience configuring and debugging analog, digital, and mixed-signal simulations and managing accuracy-versus-performance tradeoffs.
  • Proven ability to convert specifications into executable verification plans and drive requirements, functional, assertion, and code coverage closure.
  • Expertise in constrained-random, coverage-driven, assertion-based, and directed verification techniques, including negative and corner-case testing.
  • Power-aware verification knowledge: power-state transitions, reset/startup sequences, clock and power-domain crossings, and UPF-defined behavior.
  • Strong Python scripting and automation skills; familiarity with Tcl, Perl, or shell for regressions and data analysis.
  • Ability to diagnose complex cross-domain failures using waveforms, logs, assertions, coverage reports, and quantitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with interfaces such as SPI, I2C, APB, AHB, AXI, and high-speed serial or converter data paths.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with data converters, power management, clocking, sensor interfaces, RF/mixed-signal chains, or precision analog products.
  • Demonstrated ownership from planning and environment development through coverage closure, sign-off, and post-silicon correlation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
