Job Title

Senior Engineer, Digital Design Engineering

Role Summary

Design and deliver digital logic for ASIC/SoC projects. Work with architecture, verification, physical design and software teams to implement, verify, and bring up digital subsystems used in Analog Devices products.

Team responsibilities include RTL development, synthesis and timing closure, verification, IP integration, and support for tapeout and silicon bring-up.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5+ years of professional experience in digital ASIC/FPGA design and verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include hands-on design, verification, and cross-team coordination to deliver production silicon.

  • Develop and maintain RTL (SystemVerilog/VHDL) for digital blocks and subsystems.
  • Create and run unit-level and block-level verification using simulation and UVM-based environments.
  • Perform synthesis, static timing analysis, constraint creation, and timing closure activities.
  • Integrate and verify IP blocks, interfaces and SoC-level features.
  • Work with physical design and DFT teams to support implementation, ECOs, and silicon bring-up.
  • Debug post-silicon issues and support lab bring-up as required.
  • Automate flows and tasks using scripting (Tcl, Python, shell) and maintain version control practices.
  • Participate in design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and interact with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

Concise list of required technical skills and desirable additions.

  • Must-have: Strong RTL design and verification skills (SystemVerilog), synthesis and STA experience, familiarity with common EDA tools and ASIC flows, scripting for automation (Python/Tcl), experience with version control and CI workflows, proven problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with UVM, CDC analysis, DFT and scan insertion, low-power design techniques, FPGA prototyping, mixed-signal system-level experience, and prior tapeout experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is expected; Master's or PhD is preferred where available. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
