Senior Engineer, Design Automation Methodologies
Role Summary
Work on front-end ASIC design automation and deployment of methodology flows for IP and SoC projects. The role partners with global design teams to implement, maintain and improve design checks, automation, and integration practices across projects.
Based in Bengaluru with a hybrid working model. Focus areas include CDC/RDC, LEC, SDC, linting, and automation of sign-off flows.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years of VLSI/ASIC design and methodology experience as stated in the posting.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include deployment and continuous improvement of front-end design methodologies and automation flows.
- Define and deploy front-end methodologies for ASIC design, including SoC integration, LEC, CDC/RDC, SDC, and lint processes.
- Develop and maintain automated design-check flows to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Drive resolution of design-check violations and produce/sign-off design check reports.
- Collaborate with worldwide design and methodology teams to evaluate and improve flows and tool usage.
- Integrate and validate EDA tool flows for IP and SoC projects.
- Represent the team in technical forums, conferences, and internal review processes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.
- 5+ years of experience in VLSI ASIC design and methodology development and deployment.
- Proven experience executing and driving design-check activities for complex SoC projects.
- Experience with EDA tools such as SpyGlass, VC RDC, LEC, Design Compiler, and formal verification tools.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Perl, and TCL.
- Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and front-end verification techniques (CDC, RDC, lint, formal, synthesis).
Nice-to-have
- Experience applying AI-driven techniques to optimize EDA workflows.
- SDC and timing constraint expertise; familiarity with tools like TimeVision and Fishtail.
- Experience with automotive or compute SoC programs and compliance processes.
- Awards or recognitions for innovation or execution excellence.
