Job Title
Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering
Role Summary
Design and develop advanced analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, lead architecture and optimization, and mentor junior engineers within cross-functional product teams.
Work involves hands-on circuit and layout design, simulation, verification across PVT conditions, and collaboration with verification, process, test, and applications groups.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 5+ years of relevant analog circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
The role's primary responsibilities include:
- Create analog and mixed-signal IC designs (sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC, multiplexers, active/passive filters, power distribution systems).
- Lead architecture development and make key design decisions using industry-standard tools.
- Perform block- and transistor-level design, simulation, evaluation, and debugging to meet performance targets.
- Verify designs across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners.
- Collaborate with product definition, verification, process, test, and applications engineering teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Identify and resolve complex design challenges using experienced engineering judgment.
- Travel up to approximately 10% as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven expertise in analog circuit design (amplifiers, filters, data converters) and the ability to optimize designs for target applications.
- Advanced mixed-signal IC design experience and awareness of signal integrity considerations.
- Experience developing circuit architectures that balance performance and implementation constraints.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Cadence Design Suite.
- Strong understanding of physical IC layout considerations and experience optimizing layouts for performance.
- Deep knowledge of CMOS circuit design principles and implementation techniques.
- Expertise in ADC/DAC design and performance optimization.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with low-power, low-noise precision circuit design.
- Publication record or patents in relevant technical areas.
Education Requirements
Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field (explicitly stated). No explicit mention of a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent-experience clause was provided.
