Role Summary

Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in FPGA/Firmware design and integration for high-performance airborne Electronic Warfare platforms. This position involves taking FPGA designs from concept through to flight-testing, ensuring the reliability of digital processing solutions in critical military applications.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with substantial experience, typically requiring at least 5 years in related fields of engineering with a strong background in FPGA development.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Designing high-speed FPGA solutions using languages like VHDL and Verilog.
  • Participating in the FPGA development lifecycle from requirements to hardware integration.
  • Creating complex digital designs, focusing on timing closure and data flow efficiency.
  • Implementing DSP functions for real-time signal processing.
  • Utilizing various tools and equipment for validation and integration.
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, including RF, systems, and mechanical engineers.

Requirements

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in FPGA development tools (Xilinx and/or Intel) and programming in VHDL/Verilog.
  • Experience with simulation, place-and-route processes, and timing closure.

Education Requirements
