Role Summary

Altera is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Post-Silicon Validation to lead and drive all aspects of post-silicon validation across multiple product lines. This strategic leadership role is responsible for defining validation roadmaps, ensuring robust silicon bring-up, and enabling high-quality product launches.

Experience Level

Senior level with over 10 years of experience in silicon validation, including 5 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement post-silicon validation strategy, roadmap, and execution plans.
  • Oversee the full post-silicon validation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, software, and manufacturing teams.
  • Lead system-level debugging, performance characterization, and validation methodology development.
  • Establish and improve validation tools and lab infrastructure.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing validation team.
  • Provide updates to senior leadership on validation progress.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in silicon validation.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale validation programs.
  • Expertise in post-silicon validation methodologies and system-level debug.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with industry-standard validation tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in high-performance computing or AI accelerators.
  • Knowledge of firmware validation and test automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and program management practices.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
