Job Title

Senior Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and owning verification environments for complex SoC/IP to ensure functional correctness of Micron’s ASICs. Collaborates with design, architecture, and firmware teams to deliver high-quality silicon on schedule.

The team focuses on UVM/SystemVerilog-based verification, Python testbenches, simulation infrastructure, and adoption of AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity and debugging.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 6+ years of IP or SoC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing verification environments, executing verification plans, and driving verification quality.

  • Develop and maintain UVM-based SystemVerilog verification environments.
  • Define and execute block- and system-level verification plans.
  • Build and enhance Python-based testbenches and simulation infrastructure.
  • Debug complex functional and integration issues in close collaboration with design teams.
  • Drive coverage closure and continuously improve verification quality metrics.
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted techniques and tools to improve verification productivity and debug efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items noted as "Nice-to-have".

  • Must-have: 6+ years of IP or SoC verification experience.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with UVM and constrained-random verification.
  • Must-have: Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Python.
  • Must-have: Exposure to microcode, assembly language, or firmware development.
  • Must-have: Proven analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with mixed-signal verification.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with DRAM protocol.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience using or evaluating AI-assisted development, verification, or debug tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Interest or experience applying AI/ML techniques to verification automation or productivity.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is listed; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
