Senior Design for Test Consultant

Role Overview

The Senior Design for Test Consultant will be pivotal in assisting clients with the integration and implementation of Design for Test (DFT) methodologies utilizing the Tessent tool suite. This role requires close collaboration with customers, delivering tailored solutions that enhance their ASIC design processes.

Position Summary

This role focuses on facilitating the adoption of DFT flows in ASIC designs. The consultant is expected to develop, communicate, and deliver DFT solutions that meet customer needs while effectively navigating the complexities involved in ASIC design challenges.

Experience Level

Candidates should have substantial experience in ASIC Design for Test and a proven ability to overcome unique design challenges using innovative engineering practices. Familiarity with the Tessent tool suite and its application in various DFT activities is crucial.

Primary Duties

• Deliver comprehensive consulting services across a range of DFT activities.
• Engage with clients to implement Tessent DFT flows effectively.
• Facilitate client usage of the full capabilities of Tessent software and methodologies.
• Communicate product offerings and technical solutions to customers.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable product engineering tasks.
• Foster and sustain positive customer relationships.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve shared success.
• Provide Tessent-based solutions tailored to client specifications.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites, primarily within Europe.

Candidate Qualifications

Suitable candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (BSEE or BSCS); a Master's degree (MSEE) is preferred. A deep understanding of ASIC Design for Test practices, including MBIST, IJTAG, Boundary Scan, and scan insertion, alongside experience in verification and scripting, is required. Strong communication, self-motivation, and discipline are essential traits for success in this role.
