Senior Design Engineer - Chassis Component IP

Role Summary

Intel is seeking an experienced Chassis Component IP engineer for the Intel Chassis Group, which is responsible for delivering the chassis for SoCs within Intel. This role involves the logic design of component IPs that can be used to build an SoC chassis, including protocol conversion bridges, debug/trace components, and clock and power controls.

Experience Level

Senior, with a strong emphasis on experienced hires with at least 8 years in the field.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Designing logic for component IPs including protocol conversion bridges.
• Ensuring functionality for control and data planes translating standard protocols such as AMBA/CXL.
• Incorporating features like QoS, Access Control, Flow Control, RAS, Error Handling, and Hashing.
• Collaborating with architecture and verification teams.
• Working with physical design teams to optimize designs based on timing limitations.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in SOC and/or IP design.
• 5+ years designing protocol conversion bridges for AMBA/PCIe/CXL.
• Expertise in Verilog/System Verilog, Lint/CDC/RDC.
• Understanding of coherency concepts and good knowledge of DVFS and UPF.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience analyzing power, performance, and area trade-offs in designs.
• Knowledge of designing clock/power controls and MMU.
• Experience with Jinja-based templating.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
