Senior DDR IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior DDR IP Verification Engineer will be part of the Compute Silicon & Manufacturing Engineering (CSME) team, responsible for the design, development, and integration of memory controller Intellectual Property (IP) within Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on enhancing and verifying the functionality of hardware solutions to ensure high quality and efficiency in deployment.

Experience Level

Senior level, with a minimum of 5 years of technical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include:

• Leading the verification of memory controller IP and DDR subsystem.
• Defining verification strategies and test plans in collaboration with partner teams.
• Developing verification environments and debugging simulations.
• Innovating verification efficiency through advanced methodologies.
• Coaching and mentoring team members.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of experience; OR
• Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience; OR
• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in pre-silicon subsystem or IP verification.
• Familiarity with JEDEC specs, and strong debugging skills.
• Proficiency in writing scripts using Python and experience with UVM.

Education Requirements

A Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required for this position.
