Role Summary
The Principal Engineer will work within the Custom Silicon Engineering group of the Data Center Engineering Business Unit at Marvell. This role will focus on the verification of advanced custom SoCs for AI and HPC applications, collaborating with various teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
Experience Level
Senior level, requiring at least 10-12 years of experience in related fields.
Responsibilities
The Principal Engineer will:
- Oversee the verification of memory, AI/HPC, and Die-2-Die subsystems.
- Develop verification architectures, reference models, and bus-functional monitors.
- Create and analyze test strategies for functional correctness.
- Write verification test plans and collaborate with design teams for completeness.
- Debug and resolve issues through collaboration with designers.
- Lead a geographically dispersed team in pre-silicon validation.
- Contribute to the development of future SoC verification methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 12+ years of experience, or a Master’s/PhD with 10+ years of experience.
- Strong background in design engineering and verification with 10+ years of experience.
- Hands-on verification experience with PCIe, NOC, DDR, HBM, or AI/HPC accelerators.
- Proficiency in developing verification environments using System Verilog and UVM.
- Experience with verification test-planning, scripting languages (Python, Perl), and EDA tools.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related fields is required. A Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
