Job Title
Senior CPU Subsystem Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify CPU subsystems and their integration within Arm-based platforms. Work within the Solutions SoC Engineering team to define and execute end-to-end verification strategies, develop reusable verification environments, and deliver high-quality silicon on schedule.
Experience Level
Senior β 4β9 years of experience in CPU, subsystem, or SoC verification.
Responsibilities
Lead verification planning, execution, and closure for CPU subsystems and related IP.
- Develop and execute verification strategies for processor subsystems and integration.
- Verify cache hierarchy, coherency, interrupt controllers, debug/trace, memory interfaces, and subsystem integration.
- Validate functional correctness, coherency, performance scenarios, and power-management behaviors.
- Architect, build, and maintain reusable verification environments, VIP, and automation.
- Create verification plans, test cases, and coverage-closure strategies; drive functional, code, toggle, assertion, and coverage closure.
- Debug RTL, testbench, integration, and system-level issues and collaborate across architecture, design, firmware, emulation, FPGA, and post-silicon teams.
- Improve verification productivity through scripting, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Document methodology, best practices, and verification results.
Requirements
Key technical must-haves and preferred skills.
-
Must-have: Strong knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and modern verification methodologies.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with Arm CPU architecture, memory hierarchy, coherency protocols, interrupts, and subsystem integration.
-
Must-have: Experience with C/C++, scripting, coverage closure, and RTL/testbench debugging.
-
Must-have: Proven analytical, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with CHI, ACE, AMBA, GIC, RAS, debug/trace, UPF (power-aware verification), emulation/FPGA/gate-level simulation, or post-silicon validation.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with AI-assisted verification workflows and familiarity with Arm System Architecture.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (for example, Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or Computer Science).
