Senior Calibre CAD Engineer

Role Summary

NVIDIA is seeking a CAD Engineer with a focus on Advanced Technology to support foundry techfiles installation and debugging efforts. The role combines development and support responsibilities, offering the opportunity to enhance productivity for custom circuit designers globally.

Experience Level

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, ideally with at least 5 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, configuring, and supporting foundry techfiles.
• Debugging design errors efficiently by liaising with designers and tool partners to resolve issues.
• Customizing foundry techfiles to implement NVIDIA’s design methodologies.
• Maintaining CAD tools used by IC designers, including debugging and evaluating new tools.
• Developing and writing scripts in Perl and Cadence SKILL to streamline design processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; M.S. preferred.
• Proficiency in Perl and Cadence SKILL.
• Expertise in Calibre, particularly in DRC and antenna techfiles.
• A basic understanding of MOSFET device behavior, CMOS layouts, and VLSI designs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting end-users effectively.

Education Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required; MS is preferred.
