Role Summary

NVIDIA is searching for a motivated CAD Engineer to join the Advanced Technology Group. This role involves supporting the installation of foundry techfiles, providing expert support to designers, and developing flows and scripts to improve productivity for custom circuit designers worldwide.

Experience Level

Senior level, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience required.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure, and support foundry techfiles.
  • Perform expert debug of design errors and communicate effectively with designers and EDA partners.
  • Custom edit foundry techfiles and support CAD tools used by IC designers.
  • Collaborate with CAD tool vendors for support and tool improvement.
  • Develop infrastructure to support design work in new process technologies.
  • Write scripts using Perl and Cadence SKILL.

Requirements

The following skills and qualifications are required:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; MS preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of MOSFET device behavior, CMOS layout, and VLSI design.
  • Proficient in Perl and Cadence SKILL programming.
  • Expertise in Calibre for DRC and Antenna techfiles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and passion for supporting end-users.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience; MS preferred.
