Senior ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify global IP blocks used across multiple NVIDIA product lines by developing verification plans, tests, and infrastructure. Partner with design, architecture, verification, and integration teams to close functional and code coverage, identify corner cases, and sign off designs for correctness and performance.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role expects 5+ years of design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing pre-silicon verification for IP and RTL across products.
- Develop verification test plans, tests, and infrastructure for global IP across multiple products.
- Define, implement, and automate flows to build, deploy, and verify generated RTL.
- Ensure code and functional coverage and drive coverage-based verification closure.
- Build verification components using SystemVerilog/UVM methodology.
- Collaborate with design teams to identify corner cases and resolve verification issues.
- Maintain regression suites and support sign-off activities for functional correctness and performance targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven design verification experience (pre-silicon verification using UVM/SystemVerilog).
- Familiarity with ASIC design/implementation flows and design automation.
- Programming/scripting experience (Perl or Python).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Exposure to design and verification tools such as synthesis tools (e.g., dc_shell), simulators (e.g., VCS), and debug tools (e.g., Debussy, GDB).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience automating verification and design tasks.
- Hands-on object‑oriented programming experience.
- Prior IP or block-level design or verification experience.
- Experience developing methodologies used by other teams.
- Proven ability to drive projects to completion.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
