Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification and validation of complex VLSI/ASIC designs for HPE products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to define architecture, verification strategies, and deliver production-quality silicon.

Experience Level

Senior; requires 10+ years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.

Responsibilities

Lead technical verification activities and guide teams through the VLSI design lifecycle. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead project teams of VLSI and electronic engineers and external development partners across design, validation, and testing phases.
  • Define verification strategies, review designs, and ensure compliance with VLSI technology and development standards.
  • Provide architecture-level guidance and platform leadership on cross-organization projects.
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities; provide actionable feedback to improve quality and reliability.
  • Mentor and develop less-experienced engineers and contribute to selection and development of technical leaders.
  • Drive adoption of new VLSI technologies and integration into product designs.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog and experienced with UVM methodologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
  • Experience with software programming in C and C++.
  • Strong knowledge of digital logic, computer architecture, and EDA/FPGA tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Specman experience; patents or publications in VLSI or hardware design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Coursework in VLSI design or related concepts is referenced; equivalent experience will be considered.
