Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify design, architecture and micro-architecture of ASIC blocks for NVIDIA SoCs and GPUs with emphasis on memory subsystem units. Work on verification strategy, infrastructure and test plans to deliver first-silicon success.

Position sits on the GPU ASIC verification team and requires collaboration with architects and RTL designers to ensure correctness across features and micro-architectural changes.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 4+ years of ASIC verification experience, including projects taken through tapeout.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on planning and executing verification for memory-related units and building scalable verification infrastructure.

  • Define verification scope and develop DV strategies and test plans for memory subsystem units.
  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure, testbenches, and reusable verification IP.
  • Verify design, architecture and micro-architecture using advanced methodologies (constrained random, scoreboard, coverage-driven verification).
  • Collaborate with ASIC designers and architects on feature and micro-architecture reviews and bug resolution.
  • Deliver regression suites and metrics to track coverage and bug closure toward tapeout.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by preferred qualifications.

  • Must-have:
    • 4+ years verifying complex units through tapeout for one or more chip generations.
    • Strong practical experience with verification techniques: constrained random stimulus, scoreboards, and functional coverage.
    • Proficient in SystemVerilog and UVM; experience developing scalable code using object-oriented principles.
    • Familiarity with memory subsystem concepts: memory consistency models, arbitration policies, interface protocols, and on-chip interconnect.
  • Nice-to-have:
    • Prior verification experience with caches, crossbar/interconnect fabrics, or other memory-subsystem blocks.
    • Experience with AI tools and workflows applied to verification tasks.
    • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
