Job Title

Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer (Network Security)

Role Summary

Join the ASIC verification team in Santa Clara to verify next-generation firewall ASICs. Responsible for pre-silicon verification planning, simulation and emulation execution, and verification infrastructure to meet performance, feature, and reliability targets. The role works closely with architecture, design, verification, and software teams in a primarily office-based, hybrid environment.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 5 years of ASIC design verification experience with demonstrated success taking ASIC products to production.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include pre-silicon verification planning, simulation and emulation, and automation.

  • Collaborate with software, architecture, design, and verification teams to define pre-silicon verification plans.
  • Plan and execute simulation test plans using coverage-driven, constrained-random methodologies.
  • Develop emulation flows, methodologies, and infrastructure; create, run, and debug emulation tests with system architects and ASIC designers.
  • Define and implement tools and methodologies to improve verification quality and velocity.
  • Automate verification tasks for triage, coverage closure, and metrics-driven verification.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 5+ years in ASIC design verification or equivalent experience; proven track record of shipping ASIC products to production.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM and strong functional coverage modeling skills.
  • Experience creating scalable test benches and self-checking verification infrastructure.
  • Proven debugging skills for failure analysis and coverage closure.
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Perl, and UNIX shell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with emulation and building emulation test flows and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, formal property verification, and silicon validation (preferred).

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required; MSEE preferred.
