Role Summary

Lead architecture and delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions for Synopsys products serving semiconductor and EDA customers. Work with product management, R&D, and customer-facing teams to translate customer requirements into modular system architectures and drive implementations through deployment and support.

Join the Solutions Engineering team to define technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure solutions meet quality, reliability, and security expectations.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor, EDA, or related high-tech industries.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead architecture and system design for advanced, high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, and customer teams to define requirements and roadmaps.
• Translate complex customer needs into scalable, modular architectures and engineering plans.
• Guide and mentor cross-functional engineering teams across the solution lifecycle.
• Conduct technical due diligence and feasibility studies for new technologies and strategic engagements.
• Present architectures to executives, customers, and partners, articulating technical value and business impact.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks; ensure adherence to quality, reliability, and security standards.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform technical strategy.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills:

• Must-have: 10+ years architecting and engineering complex solutions in semiconductor, EDA, or related industries.
• Must-have: Expert-level system architecture skills, SoC design, verification methodologies, and IP integration.
• Must-have: Strong knowledge of hardware/software co-design, cloud-enabled workflows, and advanced process technologies.
• Must-have: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large cross-functional projects.
• Must-have: Proficiency with industry tools and platforms (examples: Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, UVM, RTL design, simulation, emulation, cloud orchestration).
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI/ML, security, and data analytics applied to electronic design automation.
